A few nice beauty tips images I found:

A slice of paradise at the top of the Wairere falls
beauty tips
This was taken at the top of the Wairere falls, a beautiful 3 hour return walk. I planned a 90 minute return walk to the lower look out, instead I took the wrong turn and ended up on the summit 😉

When I arrived there I was just blown away from the beauty of the place. I certainly wondered about the amount of water on the top of a mountain 😉

This is an HDR shot at f/11 ISO-80 1/4s base image, 2s for the dark bits, 1/20s for the bright as background 😉 I actually removed the 1/20s layer after I applied Hard light and vibrance, so the ghosting (from the strong wind) faded nicely out and the background is still not so overexposed.

Wairere Falls is a gorgeous 153m waterfall that plunges in two tiers within the Kaimai-Mamaku Ranges

According to the www.maoridictionary.co.nz., Wairere actually stands for waterfall 😉

wairere
1. (noun) stream of water, waterfall.
2. (stative) be leaky.

Ms. Wonderful

This model went by the name of Miss Wonderful and I never got a real name if there was one. I was shooting a local meet up and trying to practice with my lights so i stayed in the harsh light of the day. This was from earlier and I was starting to get some nice fill but I guess it could use more. I just didn’t want to clip on the model.

I liked the light play in tis image. In spite of what some may perceive as Miss Wonderful’s less than orthodox appearance I found her to be very photogenic and enjoyed photographing her. Great attitude.

My set up:
Camera and flash all manual

f/8
ISO 100
shutter: 1/250
580EX II 1/8
Light Modifier: Lumodi Beauty Dish, CTO 1/4, triggered with Pocket Wizards

Please share any tips suggestions.

Line, Shape and Color

Frequently, isolation is the key to a great photograph. A great photograph should be a quartet of line, shape, color and technique. I do a lot of photography with wide-angle lenses to create atmosphere and to give a sense of place to the things we are shooting; but all too frequently that means that I include things in frame that are distracting or unnecessary and the quartet becomes an orchestra of unruly auxiliary players.

Some people have a natural talent to look at a scene and immediately see where the two or three elements they need in frame are and to make a perfect photograph. I always want to cram too many things into the viewfinder and I’ve never had the knack of seeing that one spot of beauty. So on the odd occasion when I do see that one great frame, it is all the more fun!

Mike and I were walking along Columbus one morning after spending a few minutes at the bean and saw the sunrise over Lake Michigan throwing beautiful golden light all over the eastern side of the Art Institute of Chicago. The windows had a slight tint which resulted in shades of green and gold amongst the cyan blue from the early morning sky. In true Art Institute form, the windows were full of these great converging lines that just pull your eye through the photograph.

Here’s another tip – windows almost always look great in HDR – because you get just the smallest hint of the details that are just behind those windows.

want to show these tiny little beauty flowers of 7 milimeters petals tip to tip diameter, take a look the details, it’s amazing ! An Oxalis corymbosa or Oxalis rust or Puccinia oxalidis [?] ….
———-
Oxalis is by far the largest genus in the wood-sorrel family Oxalidaceae: of the approximately 900 known species in the Oxalidaceae, 800 belong here. The genus occurs throughout most of the world, except for the polar areas; species diversity is particularly rich in tropical Brazil, Mexico and South Africa.

Many of the species are known as wood-sorrels (in American English typically written "woodsorrels" or "wood sorrels") as they have an acidic taste reminiscent of the unrelated sorrel (Rumex acetosa) proper. Some species are called yellow-sorrels or pink-sorrels after the color of their flowers instead. Other species are colloquially known as false shamrocks, and some are rather misleadingly called "sourgrasses". For the genus as a whole, the term oxalises is also used. Source : Wikipedia

Haenam: Where nature meets history, culture
beauty tips
HAENAM, Korea — Whether you’re the adventurous type, or just want to relax and unwind with your family, Haenam County, located in the far southwestern tip of Korea, has something for everyone.
Although volumes have been dedicated to Haenam, I will focus on an exclusive number of attractions here.
Haenam County has all the beauty of the countryside – breathtaking forests, mountains, valleys, and the complete benefits of a clean oceanic environment. As well as the people, the weather is very friendly too. Haenam is one of the warmest parts of Korea and it never falls below zero. And, because of the decent climate, a full range of wild foods grow here. Plus, the uncluttered seawater offers an abundant source of goodies.
When I was about to enter university, my friends and I made a secret plan to go on a walking trip to Haenam, thinking it would be so cool to “walk” to the end of the peninsula. But unfortunately, it did not happen since some of the parents didn’t allow us. However, this past October, I finally got to visit Haenam through my internship program. About 250 of us from both Humphreys and Yongsan Garrison visited Haenam County during the Great Battle of Myeongryang Festival, held by Jeollanamdo Province.
The festival is an annual event of both Haenam and Jindo, and was designed after this famous battle of Myeongryang more than 400 years ago. The Usuyeong area and the tourist resort have great significance for Koreans and to world history. One of Korea’s greatest admirals, Yi Sun-shin, with only 13 ships remaining in his fleet, defeated a Japanese navy that had 133 warships and 200 support ships, by using the strong currents of the Myeongryang straits.
This remarkable victory can be relived at the Usuyeong tourist resort every October, where one can absorb the energy from the monuments and historic remains, while strolling carefree through the Myeongnyang Victory Park.
Heard of Jindo dogs of Korea? These clever dogs are from just around the corner; you can literally cross the bridge from Usuyoung area. Jindo Island also provides lots of attractions. Vehicles can cross the bridge, except during the festival period.
Traveling with children? Uhangri Dinosaur Center and Park has an appeal of its own and can make you the best parents. Dinosaur fossils and footprints from more than 90 million years ago were discovered here. If you want to go back in time and walk with the former rulers of the earth, Haenam is the place to go.
Being in a wide grass field with the warm touch of the sunlight was just great. My favorite part at Uhangri was taking pictures with the enormous dinosaur statues all around the park.
Not far away, there is a beach that has luxuriant old pine trees, fine sand, and gentle crystal waves. No, this isn’t something from a fairytale, it is Songho Swimming Beach located in Ttangkkeut, on the southern tip of Korea. It’s quite cold for these activities, but the gentle slopes make it an ideal place for swimming and camping. If you are not much of a beach person, don’t worry. Duryun National Park will be your alternative choice. An ancient temple visit, after a pleasant hike with cool breezes, followed with a cable car ride, will be just right for your taste.
From cultural heritage, historical relics, great food of Jeollanamdo province, ancient temples and sculptures to high peaks, Haenam has them all. You can also visit the Haenam tourism web site at eng.haenam.go.kr/. The website provides much of the information you will need, including lodging, fares, guide maps and even tour course. The only problem you’ll encounter is not having enough time to do everything.
(Editor’s Note: Arisae Ryu, a student at Namseoul University in Cheonan, is currently an intern in the USAG Humphreys Public Affairs Office. While here, she is going to be writing about items in Korean culture that Americans might not usually hear about.)

Have you cured your adult acne?

Question by Jem: Have you cured your adult acne?
If so, how? I’m 27 and have medium acne, much better than when I was a teen.

Best answer:

Answer by David Scott
I’ve had mild adult acne since I was around 26 and after trying everything over the counter, I went to a dermatologist, who in turn had me keep a log of “stress/anxiety” in my life. As it turns out, the outbreaks (which were localized to one side of my nose and a little of my cheek) were directly related to highly stressful events in my life. While I still have a spot or two occasionally, learning coping methods for reducing stress is what worked for me. Past that, I would say go see a dermatologist, as they would be able to give you the best answer and put you on the path to clear skin. :)

All-Natural Acne Face Wash At Home?

Question by Tan: All-Natural Acne Face Wash At Home?
I have a little bit of acne, and I was wondering if there was a recipe for a homemade wash or mask or anything like that that is all-natural and that I could make at home

Best answer:

Answer by Rob
When I was a teen, I had mild acne and always washed my face with Ivory soap. It dries the oils up that cause acne. For a mild case, that should work without having to spend much money at all.

what are some comercials targetting teens?

Question by : what are some comercials targetting teens?
so this is part of my assignment,

Part 3. Find three examples of commercials or ads that target teenagers. For each ad, describe the product being sold and analyze the advertising techniques used to sell the product to teens. You must include a detailed description of the commercial or the advertisement.

i’ve been flipping through comercials for an hour now and havent found one.

all you gotta dos tell me what its for & prolly a little what it looks like then i’ll find it on youtube & do the other stuff myself, so please dont be like “its yours to do not ours blah blah blah” cause i already know that :)

Screen Play (2005), a music/video performance by Christian Marclay, interpreted by a small group of musicians.
Festival Nuits Sonores, chapelle de la Trinité, Lyon, France, May 19, 2007.

Line up:
Part 1> Pierre Bastien, Mark Cunningham, DJ Olive
Part 2> FM Einheit, Frédéric Le Junter, JG Thirlwell
Part 3> Dieb 13, eRikm, Jérôme Noetinger

About Screen Play: a soundtrack of movement pictures in which the cinematographic source is combined to animations assisted by computer in order to create a visual frame, of which musicians interpret a live set. The different feelings produced by pictures are translated through the music in the form of energy, rhythm, pitch and sound… Christian Marclay claims the power pictures have to recall vibrancies.
