Adderall and weight loss?
Question by melissa r: Adderall and weight loss?
I’m on 10 mg of adderall, and soon to be put on 20 mg.
I am on it for ADD, not because I want to lose weight.
Losing weight is just a bonus to it.
(Im making point to note that in case anyone of you wants to bash me for ‘abusing a drug for weight loss’)
How much weight did you lose? How fast?
I’m on a diet and walk an hour a day so while i’m overweight, i’m taking appropriate and healthy steps to achieve my goals.
Some say that the weight loss is only temporary, but if i’m doing the diet (and keep to it) will i keep off the weight?
Is the weight loss only temporary? Or does that only affect a few people?
Best answer:
Answer by enough with formalities
the reason adderall causes weight loss is because it suppresses the appetite, leading to eating fewer calories.
the appetite suppressing quality only lasts for a few months, btw.
if you increase your caloric intake, you’ll gain weight. decrease it, lose weight.
