Caught this beauty at the grocery store. I saw it a few weeks earlier in Arlington, but didn’t have my camera (amateur!) Nothing much to say… nice to see a clean daily driver like this. Didn’t get a chance to talk to the owner to get the story. If you have info, know the owner, or are the owner, message me or email tips@ilovevwbuses.com

What’s the cheapest way for teens to stay while traveling around Europe?

Question by Brian H: What’s the cheapest way for teens to stay while traveling around Europe?
I am planning to go on a trip to Europe this summer with a bunch of friends. We’ll be visiting The UK, Italy, Spain, and maybe more. We are looking for cheap ways to stay. One of us mentioned hostels, but I’ve heard many bad things about them (drugs, weird people, homeless, criminals, dangerous). Advice?

Answer by moonshine057
Well if your looking for cheap, hostals are the way to go. You get what you pay for.I don’t think all of them are that bad. Just keep the group together and you should be fine.

Is it normal for weight loss to slowly decrease the more you lose?

Question by Lizzy: Is it normal for weight loss to slowly decrease the more you lose?
I am 5′ 5″. I used to weigh 142. Now I am 128 and my goal weight is 115. I used to lose 2 pounds a week, but it seems like now I am only losing 1. Is it normal for weight loss to slowly decrease the closer you get to your weight goal?

Thanks for any answers!

Best answer:

Answer by Reme Shankar
Yes, weight loss slows down and “plateaus” after a while. Try new exercises that you haven’t done yet, or increase your cardio if you’re worried you won’t reach your goal.

Body Story – Episode 4 – Part 2 of 4 – Teen Dreams

The series has been praised equally for its educational content, impressive visual graphics, and engaging human stories. Produced by Wall To Wall for the Discovery Channel, episodes 1-3 were released in 1998 and episodes 4-7 were released in 2001. Episode 4 – Teen Dreams: Darren and Natalie are ordinary adolescents entering an extraordinary time. Embark on the roller-coaster ride of puberty and witness the dramatic physiological transformation that places these teens on the path to adulthood.

AcneErasingSecrets.com It is very important to understand which acne products you use. This includes skin care products, shampoo and even toothpaste. Any cosmetic product that come’s into contact with your cellular environment can cause acne or cause it to become worse. Not only that but sometimes the shampoo that you use may interact with the face wash that you use and cause it to become even worse. I recommend that you use 100% natural skin care and cosmetic products instead of using products that contain benzoyl peroxide, SLS, propylene glycol and parabens. These things cause problems with your skin and will cause your acne to worsen. It’s important to take a holistic approach in curing your acne by treating your acne externally with the right natural topical treatments while at the same time taking care of your health internally and treating the cause of the acne and helping that organ become healthier so that it won’t send toxins to break out of your skin but to instead flush out of your body like they are supposed too. 31 weeks and zero days pregnant

No signs of labour yet! YAY! I went to an aquanatal class which was loads of fun, it’s pregnancy swimming and exercise and then a chat. I’ve got a midwifery appointment coming up, but I might have to move it, hopefully not though. My hair is a complete mess at the moment, I washed it this morning, and because of the cold weather it’s not drying out very quickly so I can’t brush it through. Redecorating is coming on nicely, I did a mini tour of my room after showing my belly, the walls are nearly all painted, just waiting for my mum to do the door and skirting boards then she’s doing the ceiling and all my stuff is finished. One Direction performs at Hordern Pavilion, Moore Park, Sydney, Australia

Today One Direction mania broke loose at Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion.

It may have been Friday 13th, but 3,000 Australian fans got lucky to be part of the huge crowd that made up the enthusiastic audience.

The British boy band has teenage Aussie lasses screaming for more, with the occasional tear been shed for those who miss out on their deepest desires.

Hours before Harry, Niall, Liam, Zayn and Louis took the stage at the Hordern Pavilion, they were screaming in anticipation of seeing the Fab Five sing their hearts out.

The matinee show sold out two Sydney concerts in under three minutes kicked off at 3.45pm with an entirely appropriate teen anthem Na Na Na.

The performance was a slick mix of song, video, dance and audience participation.

The lads are well practiced at at working the crowd, with smiles all around, finger pointing and all that. In time its expected that many of the boys will further develop their vocal, dancing and even song writing prowless.

One Direction merchandise was selling fast, as you would expect, with young ladies parting with for T-shirts, bucks for a program.

Some not so lucky fans who couldn’t get a ticket, despite strong rumours of on site scalpers, came to snatch up some merchandise at any price.

The place went nutso times 5 times 3000 when the boys played hits What Makes You Beautiful and One Thing. The teen fans hung on every word.

One Direction this afternoon jetted off to Melbourne to prepare for their Logies performances.

We wish the fab five well on their developing careers and hopefully female fans will only be shedding tears of joy, as the boys continue to send the lasses hormones in overdrive, as the media and marketing machine continues to give Australia an overdoes of One Direction.

Meanwhile Australian media and marketing experts wonder if or when the boys will be back to Australia for seconds, or if they will soon focus on offshore endeavours, having milked down under for all she was worth. Go for it boys.

Camp FRESH 2011

Check out these teen help images:

Camp FRESH 2011

Anthony Graves eats all his carrots.

But only a few months ago, the 13-year-old from New Castle filled up on junk food.

“I used to eat chips, cupcakes and soda,” he says. “Now I eat carrots, broccoli and tomatoes.”

Anthony is enrolled in Camp FRESH, short for "fresh resources everyone should have," founded in 2007 by Christiana Care’s Center for Community Health, part of the Department of Family and Community Medicine. The nine-week program educates youth, ages 13-18, on nutrition and encourages them to eat healthy foods, while being aware that their food environment could make it difficult to do so.

Camp FRESH also works with the Delaware Center for Horticulture to educate youths on how people in urban communities can grow their own produce.

On a recent afternoon, Anthony and other campers asked people in Rodney Square to take the 2011 Community Food Access Survey to gauge the eating habits of people in the city of Wilmington and assess their attitudes on accessibility to healthy foods. They asked consumers what kinds of food they eat, where they buy groceries and how much they exercise.

Results from the first survey, administered in 2007, found that a lack of access to nutritious foods was a serious obstacle to healthy eating habits. Since then, two new supermarkets have opened—ShopRite on Market Street in Wilmington and Food Lion on Governor Printz Boulevard in Edgemoor.

The latest results, to be compiled in the fall, will help to identify continuing barriers in urban communities to eating nutritious, low-fat foods and working out.

Richard Johnson of Bear, a school disciplinarian who took the survey, told Anthony that he has given up red meat and fried foods and eats lots of fruits and vegetables. He thinks Camp FRESH will have a lasting, positive impact on the youths.

“Working in schools, I see that obesity is a serious problem with kids,” he says. “Christiana Care is doing a very good thing in teaching kids about nutrition.”

Indeed, Delawareans are getting fatter, according to a recent study by the Trust for America’s Health and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. The report says 28 percent of adults in the First State are obese, defined as weighing at least 20 percent more than normal. Among children, 33.2 percent are overweight or obese, according to the Centers for Disease Control.

Campers come primarily from Wilmington, where corner stores carry little fresh produce and supermarkets are not readily accessible.

“We tell kids that fast food might taste good—but it is not good for you,” says Christopher C. Moore, healthy lifestyle coordinator at Christiana Care’s Center for Community Health. “We know that if given the right tools and information, the Camp FRESH youth have the ability to affect a lot of positive change.”

Over the years, more than 250 teens have participated in the program. Many say they are learning good habits that will last a lifetime.

“On the first day, I stopped drinking soda and started drinking water,” says Dkwan Brown, 14, of Wilmington. “Now I eat collard greens and salad. Anything that looks healthy, I will try.”

Instead of fried chicken, 13-year-old Aionna Williams of Wilmington asks her mother to make baked chicken. She and her mom stock up on veggies at ShopRite, Walmart and Target, as well as the Camp FRESH farmer’s market.

“The corner store is convenient but they don’t have healthy foods, only chips and stuff,” she says.

As for Anthony, he has lost 5 pounds and feels more energetic.

“I can tell that eating healthy foods is good for me,” he says. “That is why I want to get other people on board.”
