Question by Lizzy: Is it normal for weight loss to slowly decrease the more you lose?
I am 5′ 5″. I used to weigh 142. Now I am 128 and my goal weight is 115. I used to lose 2 pounds a week, but it seems like now I am only losing 1. Is it normal for weight loss to slowly decrease the closer you get to your weight goal?

Thanks for any answers!

Yes, weight loss slows down and “plateaus” after a while. Try new exercises that you haven’t done yet, or increase your cardio if you’re worried you won’t reach your goal.

    Some truths regarding weight loss:

    – It is not safe to shed weight too fast. Pace yourself. Target for 1 to 2 pounds each week.

    – Even though some food is healthy does not mean you can eat everything that you want. You have to uphold a calorie deficit to reduce weight.

    – Exercise has a long term effect. Exercise you perform now can deplete calories for a complete day.

    take care
