A few nice teen advice images I found:

More playing with Ashley this afternoon out in the rain. This time, using the SB-600 through the Micro Apollo again at 1/16 power. REALLY wanting a second flash now… man o man.

Again, tips and advice welcome. Took all the tips from yesterday’s shot and tried to apply them here. Thoughts?

Nikon D700 + Carl Zeiss 35mm
Strobist: SB-600 1/16 power through Micro Apollo Softbox cam left 8:00 position

    I like it Raymond but I think the face should bee a bit brighter (maybe + 2/3 of a stop). The fact that her top is much brighter than her face is a distraction IMO.

    Hey Ray, nice to see you diving into the flash world! Try feathering the light up a bit as to light her face more than the white sweatshirt. Also, are you using CLS to trigger your remote flash? If so, try setting the on board flash to -1 to -2 to help fill shadows as on axis light.

    From my experience a reflector (e.g. simple white styro-foam board from hardware store) is way easyer to handle as a fill-light…
