Teen Suicide Please Help?

okay, for about two years now I have been paranoid around large groups, when im walking through school I am terrified that everyone is watching and laughing at me. These problems grew and grew until I became depressed, this lead me to have suicidal thoughts. For around six months I haves been self harming by cutting myself, my legs are covered in scars and when I see them it makes me even more suicidal. I have a friend who is helping me through this and I think im starting to fall for her, my question is , will the root of my depression ( paranoia ) ever go away? will I grow out of it? I am a 14 year old male by the way. I dont want to die but if my paranoia keeps triggering depression and suicidal thoughts then I think death may be my only choice, 2 things are keeping me alive right now, the hope of my future being better AND the girl I told you about earlier. Any answers are greatly appreciated . Thanks if you do answer and have a nice evening. <3.

Kid i know what your going through. I was suicidal to. Talk to a parent, teacher, priest, relative, or anyone else who might be close to you. And dont kill yourself. If you were gone, think abotu how much that girl would miss you. Tlak to a adult, a get help. Things will get better i promise.

Adam, I certainly agree with what super cat typed here. Those are the best tips. If you eventually take your own life, just think of how that lil friend of yours will feel. So don’t do that. Here is a an article that might help you cope with these problem

hey adam, im megan, im 14 too.im kind of paranoid. every morning i wake up and i know for a fact no one is home but i feel as if someone is watching my every move, when i get to school my troubles get worse, i just moved vback with my mom because a year ago on April 18th, 2011. my dad killed himself. he was abusive and my step mom and me were the ones he took his problems out on. he was an acoholic. but anyway. my step mom would call me things until one night i just snapped. i cut my wrist 3 times on the night before christmas eve. ive been cutting for about 1 1/2 now. i was doing better until 1 week ago. my friends at my new school turned on a girl at our lunch table. and i figured i was in the clear. one of my friends got mad at me and later that day i heard them calling me a bitch, a whore, pushy, and all because i said it was mean that they did that. i cut my self 7 times on my shoulder. yesterday i had a bottle of strong perscription i got from my mom’s room i was insisting on ODing. then i got a text from my boyfriend that read”i love you and with out you, i dont know what would happen.” let me just say one thing. suicide isnt going to fix anything. and this girl must really care about you to still be there, heres an idea, tell her. her eyes are the most beautiful eyes you have ever seen. and that you love her. just an idea.

Adam, the first thing I’ve got to tell you bud is that you’re not the only person who has felt like this. It’s important that you try and understand that in school, it’s not at all uncommon for kids to feel insecure or paranoid about themselves and how they’re viewed by their classmates. Please, next time you feel that paranoia, try to remind yourself that most of them, on some level, have also felt that way before…and some of them no doubt feel that way now!

You have hope that the future will be better, and there’s no reason for you not to have faith in that. While you draw breath, you have the option to do things differently in life and make a change that can benefit you.

You mention that you became depressed…but were you treated for depression? If so, how?

There is a correlation between physical activity and mental health: getting more than 50 minutes of exercise each day (I believe it was) produced significant results in diffusing depression symptoms in many people…so increasing the amount of exercise that you get may well help with depression…and the activity would be good for your health.

Therapy is also a good idea…and so it’s important for you to communicate how you’re feeling with people in your life…especially your parents and close friends/relatives.

There is a cognitive behavior therapy book full of exercises called “Mind Over Mood” that you may want to consider. The good part about this book is that there are exercises for you to complete to confront these negative thoughts…and for most people, it will be helpful in diffusing the negative thoughts. Why not give it a try, eh?

This is a link for the book on amazon…it’ll at least show you what it looks like: http://www.amazon.com/Mind-Over-Mood-Change-Changing/dp/0898621283/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1327364197&sr=1-1

Please, talk to your parents, or a teacher, guidance counselor, Doctor, Nurse or relative you trust…they can help you.

Things will get better for you…you just need to give yourself a little push in order to get the process going.
