posted in Chat & Forums |

Most of the time I like to write stories and post them on websites so people can review them but lately none of them have been turning out so great. So…I need help writing a good story I mainly like to write fiction stories like fantasy death romance violence but even I have to admit none of them have been turning out as well has I hoped they would. Can anyone give me some advice?

What you need is not a bunch of vague reviews that probably offer mostly praise. It sounds like you need some good honest critiques.

If you can find a few people that give good honest critiques you could ask them to review your story and tell you what you need to improve.

Most things are not very good the first time out. Some stories require numerous edits and revisions before they are deemed good. I think if you are serious about writing this is definately something you will consider.

Why would you post your storys on the internet? People can steal them and publish them and make it their own work. Maybe you should mix the together like like it it a fantasy story involving a couple in which their relationship involves violence not only with them but people around them then the violence can sometime lead to a death of a loved one. Or if this does not interest you than you could write about History Historical fiction Historical non fiction pop culture biography or even comedy

You want something that appeals to everyone So blend all the genres together and theyll be more likeable. But dont post them on the internet people can steal them. Give them to friends parents or teachers when school is back in session to review. Your friends can help you on whether its interesting to teens and the adults can help you with how its written Ask for honest reviews and work on it and do a lot of thinking. Fantasy romance and violence/death are very popular genres. Mystery is too. Perhaps you could do something where a young couple dies and they couldve died in an interesting way which would be where you add the violence. You could tell a story along the lines of that.
