   I also have acne and DO NOT try revlon foundations, trust me dont risk it, it made my acne much worse it was also heavy and patchy and smelt bad. . definately give almay a go, they are good when it comes to not clogging pores and are good quality the best is the clear complexion liquid foundation. its one of my favourites good luk!

   I’m using almay right now, Its good, but its not the best. Its doesn’t really give good coverage, and doesnt help acne like it says it should. I’ve heard lots of good things about colourstay I would try that one if I were you. It shouldnt clog pores. By it being colourstay it means that its supposed to stay on throughout the whole day and doesnt fade off like many other foundations. just make sure you wash it off at the end of the night with a cleanser and it shouldnt clog your pores.

   Almay would be a great choice because they use natural ingredients and the formulas are hypoallergenic, as well as non-comedogenic, which means that it won’t clog pores.

   Maybelline and Revlon also are non-comedogenic foundations as well.

   Anything made with minerals is good for your skin and non-comedogenic.

   I have tried so many different foundations and finally found this one. I am on my second bottle and love it! Its a liquid so it covers great and best of all it helps clear your skin, but doesn’t dry it out!
   If you want extra, dust micro mineral sheer powder over the top, but you don’t need to.

   Ok so you would need to deffinetley keep away from liquid foundation because it goes right in your pores rather then over and is really heavy your skin and your skin is basically sinking it all in. So what you need is a mineral foundation because for starters they are a good coverage and some even help heal acne scars and spots! so thats coverage and treatment at the same time. You want something that is 100% organic so i would advice you to use the bare minerals. Just read the reviews about it and if it sounds good then go into a store like debenhams or house of fraser if your hear in the UK (am sorry i dont know where you might find it if your in the US). It is a bit on the pricey side but you could get starter kits which have everything you need for everyday wear and they are worth over £100 but are being sold for £45. Its deffinetly worth investing in because am sure you would pay that much for a treatment anyway. But deffinetly get it tried out, you wont be dissapointed!

   Finally, once you achieve the perfect coverage that you have always desired from the moment of your first ever outbreak, you can proceed to set the foundation with a translucent powder that should not add any more tones to your foundation.    While the steps in any makeup routine remain the same with only ever so slight modifications to account for different skin types, the type of makeup that one uses has to be carefully thought out and considered before application. Yes, finding the right color makeup to match the skin tone is very important, and the right color in a different brand should not make much of a difference, but you must remember that the acne prone skin is a lot more sensitive to makeup and other chemicals than any other skin. It is wise therefore to find makeup that is specially formulated with acne prone skin and acne scarring in mind – these should be light and oil free makeup
