I am also 13 and what i did for my acne i just went to my doctor and she prescribed a treatment for me that was over the counter. For the bags/ dark circles….. just use concealer that you can buy at a local drug store.

look up home remedies! for “eye bags” use warm/hot tea bags and leave em on you until they get cold. Frozen spoons help. just freeze than lie down and apply until cooled. coconut oil helps wrinkles. for pimples- benzoyl peroxide. for dark circles lemon it lightens your skin also baking soda.

I have a solution for your pimples. This is the ingredient to a home made acne remover. Youll need grapes, flour, and baking soda. Use four grapes and squeeze dem out on in a bowl. Den add da other ingrediens. About a spoon for each. Stir it then apply a generous amount onto your face. Mask dry for about five min. Then wash your face of with water. Pat dry your face with a towel and see the results. You should see improvement in about a week. Sound crazy but it worked for me. And im 13 to. Tell me how it worked out!

First of all, you’re 13, so the situation may not be as scary as you think it is… look at older women, then you’ll see why they’re worried.

Second of all, I agree with the other and go to a dermatologist. Don’t try at home remedies, because if your skin is sensitive or allergic (you may not be allergic to it eating wise, but skin-wise it could be a nightmare) it might make your condition worse. A dermatologist can check to see what product is suited for your type of acne (yes, there are different kinds)

If a dermatologist is too expensive of an option, try some mild over the counter products that you can buy at Wal-Mart or CVS, or wherever a pharmacy is available that sells beauty and skin care.

When I was your age and in high school, the ones that worked for me were Clearasil Ultra, Biore, and Clean and Clear. You can even try Clinique or Shiseido if you want to try some more pricier products. They are gentler, and the people that work with skin need to have special training to do so, so they can help you too. Reviews online on products are helpful too sometimes. But remember…All people are different, and different products work better for them. Find what works for you.

Some things to try are :

-to sleep more, and stress less (lack of sleep creates stress which means breakouts… get at least 8 hours)

-if you have an oily face, look for oil free lotions and products for face. Wash your face in the morning and at night with a FACIAL cleanser (don’t use bar soap because it dries skin, nor body wash, or hand soap… skin on your body is not as sensitive as your face). Use a toner to balance your skin, or you can skip the step (if you’re lazy I guess) and apply moisturizing FACE lotion (not body remember) because overly dry skin is bad. Acne medications can dry your skin because it strips away the oils on your face.

-Keep your hair off of your face as much as possible. Your hair has natural oil (sebum), and it will accumulate sweat which attracts dirt, so you want to keep your face clean.

-wash your bedsheets and especially your pillowcase regularly (not saying everyday, but regularly)–they accumulate oil from your hair, from your skin, dirt, and dust…you don’t want that on your face do you?

-DON’T POP IT, it’s tempting I know. But if you leave it alone, it’ll go away. if you pop it, it could get bigger. it could get infected and have pus. and you get left with a dark scar where it was even when your skin clears up. Purchase a spot treatment cream, or you can try the Zeno Hot Spot, which uses heat to kill germs.

-drink water, it won’t really clear acne, but your skin will be healthier looking, and less stressed so you won’t get more.

As you get older, it usually gets better. I used to have pimples on my forehead too. I didn’t really have any on other parts of my face, but there are pores all over your face that could get clogged, so I had random ones pop off, sometimes (ughh) in clusters. When I hit 18, voila, my face was clearer. Now I’m 20, and my face is totally clear. Of course, my forehead and cheeks still get a bit oily, and when I don’t keep it clean or if I’m stressed… a pimple pops up. But it usually gets better in time.
