   my son loves the teen program on royal carribean. we have done 2 carnival and 2 royal and he said that royals was so much better. it depends what ship you go on, most of the ships on royal have a teen loung that has some computers, video games , large screen tv to watch movies and play games on for competitions, a just hang out room, some have a sound booth where you can play music if you bring your instrument. they also have dj scratch academy on some of the boats, where you go to 3 classes and learn to dj, alot of the royal ones have rock walls and ice skating rink, the teens will all meet to take over the rink or wall for an hour. if you go on the oasis or the allure there is actually 2 rooms – one for hanging and one for the nightly dance. all others have one large room that has a dance every night. there is usually a theme to the dance like pajama party, deck party, and on the last night they have a prom. our son was voted prom king on the last cruise. on explorer of the seas they also have a silent dj party where every one is given special headphones and there is 2 djs and you can choose what music to dance to. i think oasis of the seas is suposed to come over to your area. It is the best ship we have ever been on. they even have surf simulaters, mini golf, ping pong and the teens have thier own deck area. have fun
