   I agree with James. This is only appropriate if you absolutely know the other person from school, not a stranger you meet on the internet. And trust me dating between the ages of 13-17 is NBD.

   I think it’s totally fine. My friend met somebody really nice on one of those dating sites, after a few months of chatting they met up. That was a few years ago now and they’re still dating. All in all, I think those kinda sites are fine and actually useful (so long as you follow the rules ect.) Good luck anyway

   I think its dangerous. When I was 14, I met someone in a chatroom and he said he was 16. He kept trying to meet up with me and started sending inappropriate pictures. I told my parents and they called the police. Turned out he was 29 and a registered sex offender. Honestly its not worth it. Anyone you meet online is anonymous. They hide behind that anonymity to take advantage of people, especially young girls. Its not right, but its life and you should never put yourself in danger. Chat rooms are not safe, not fun, and most of the time annoying. Don’t bother with them.

    I think teens are just experimenting when they do that or they are bored. They think they can find their dream date on a chat room. However, dating someone you cant see is very dangerous. People pretend to be complete different people from behind a computer monitor.
