Okay, so I know that there is an emo kid in it, and people are hating on him…but then I’m lost. The whole part with the jock giving him his notebook back and him writing in it then walking is where I get lost. Help??? Anyone?

oh I luv Black Veil Brides :). I think the video “knives and pens” basically is about someone getting hated on for who he is. If you pause the video at 3:50 the kid is actually writing the lyrics to the song. So I think that kid is supposed to be Andy at a younger age, or just a kid who just looks up to Andy because later in the vid he is watching BVB performing in the music vid, but he could just be imagining himself at an older age maybe living his dream instead of dealing with what’s he’s dealing with now. Now I'll answer your question haha. In the beginning of the music vid the kid takes his notebook out of his locker and walks to a train station-like place and listens to his music and starts writing in it. and when the kid is walking home, some guy (jock guy) steals his notebook and drives off. then in his room he starts writing on some other paper and he's crying so i was wondering if he was writing a suicide letter. but then he watches the music vid on his laptop so if that's him imagining himself later in life, he could have changed his mind about suicide. then when the jock guy comes to his house he starts reading the notebook before he walks in the house, so I wonder if that's his older brother and saw the stuff he was writing and gave it back to him. Then the kid walks away, so that could be a symbol of leaving what he has dealt with behind and starting anew. Well that's just my interpretation :)
