Question by the parrot lady~: What is a good over-the-counter acne med, for those “under the skin” ones that never want to go to a head?
I never had acne as a teen, I am in my late 40’s now and this has started over the last year, usually always around my chin, occasionally by my nose. I havent changed products for cleansing or lotion or anything…. not even soap, so I can’t think of why this type is occuring. I did hear of something on tv about this type, under the skin, but I only caught a little of it. Did anyone else happen to see it? and what a good solution is? Ive used oil of olay for years, with never a problem. Ideas? any other ladys near this age get this? Ive tried the benzoil peroxide products like clearsil pads, etc, but they dont help this type. someone told me proactive helped this type, but I really hoped for something I didnt have to send off for. Thanks.
yes, this is a good point, I do take several medications, and that could be effecting toxins, but I dont have much choice on that. I thought I had seen something on tv about that type that are under the skin and something that worked well on them.

Hi let me first tell you to get rid of acne where your chin is (or any other part of your body you must first understand how you got. Acne is caused by bad bacteria clogging up the pores in the skin. This bacteria is usually caused by unhealthy eating habits which cause bad toxins to go through the body. Now you can if you want get laser treatment but that is very expensive from $ 1000 plus. But the best and natural way to get rid of acne quickly is by eaten right foods to get rid of bad toxins in body.

I have gotten those types of acne before and I’m only 27. I like to use Neutrogena Multi Vitamin Acne Treatment. Just get a small dot on your finger and put it only where the acne is trying to come up. Apply daily (or nightly) until it disappears. Obviously results may vary, but I truly love that product. It’s always in my medicine cabinet.

If you are going to look into Proactiv and don’t want to send off for it, you can try “Acne Free”, it’s almost exactly identical and has the same results as Proactiv for about half the price. Proactiv did not work for me, but I’m not against it, it does work for other people. As far as your under the skin bumps, sometimes aloe vera ( the gel ) has helped the swelling go down and heal quicker, you might want to just try that and see if it helps any.

PERNOX!! You can get it at your local drug store.
Or if that doesn’t work here’s an old remedy that is incredible…
At night wash your face with a mild cleanser.
Take one or two capsules of cod liver oil. Stick the end of the capsule with a pin and pinch the oil all over your face except your eyes.
Steam your face for about 3-5 minutes… not too hot.
Wash your face with the mild cleanser again and dry off.
    Don’t put any moisturizer on.
Do this for three nights in a row… NO MORE!
Your face will be incredibly soft.
This works for a an extremely oily complexion also. It’s amazing!
The only side effect is that all of those under the skin pimples will come to a head the first morning but will heal quickly to extemeley smooth skin. You may want to do it on a weekend when you don’t have any plans but to stay home a couple of days.
Then just continue with your regular cleansing schedule.

It sounds like it may be diet related. You can try some natural remedies. I’ve recently put together an article if you would like to read it here is the link:
