How do i get people to stop laughing at teen moms?

Question by yodo: How do i get people to stop laughing at teen moms?
Many kids from my high school laugh at all the teen moms at my school, i think it’s cruel and wrong. Also i’ve noticed older people such as adults give these teen parents “i feel so sorry for you” looks as well as shaking their heads.

How do i get the teens at my school to stop being mean and making fun of the teen parents?1?!

You cant get them to stop doing anything, just like you couldnt get the girls to stop getting pregnant.

You cant really do anything….Being a teen mum is kind of ridiuclous and if they get themselves in that situation then they need to deal with what society thinks of it….i find it ridiculous that you actually have teen parents(plural) at your school…growing up there was not one teen mum i had ever heard of!

Society will never accept teen parents, as honestly its not the best life for the child and teh parents usually dont get the very best education or finish it and dont ever put their lives to good use in teh community or society…there are obviously a few that do some great things, but no one wants teens to have babies….its crap for the economy, peoples taxes have to pay for them as almost all of them live of welfare or get govenment allowences and that pisses people off…sorry but there is nothing u can do, except dont laugh at them yourself if u dont want to!

Well, they were irresponsible in the first place……..

they were pretty much asking to be made fun of, they did what they did and i guess they get the punishment

You know they should get used to it anyway. They made a dumb accident and are going to be paying for it for the rest of their lives. Having people look down upon them is one of he punishments. I don’t think they deserve to be picked on, but looked down upon.

well its nice that you want to help these young mothers but just know that your plan may or may not work because of the choice that made but if people start laughing tell them to shut their mouth just dont be the one laughing

    they brought it upon themselves.

Parents give that look because they do feel sorry those teens are going to have a really hard life.

Unfortunately kids are cruel. You can’t change other or the world. However you can be the best you and not act like the cruel kids. Maybe friend those young parents. I would like to believe the adults give those looks because they know what a hard life it is to be a teen parent.

Wtf? That’s outrageous! Ignorants! Until they are put in that same position they will hate all they want.

I’m not really sure what to say. At my school I’m respected for being a mother. But I also think that it’s how I behave, you know, I’m sort of a hippie breaking up fights and promoting peace on campus. Perhaps some mothers at your school were hated to begin with. You know ghetto sluts? And they ended out being pregnant? But let’s not come to conclusions, I’m decent and have morals (engaged to my daughter’s father, the only guy I ever plan to have sex with, my daughter was planned, no accidents =])

Either way I applaud them for being in school and making an effort to provide a better future for their children. What those disrespectful kids are doing is pushing these mothers to drop out. That’s called bullying. Tell your principal. And if he/she doesn’t listen, go to the district. And if they don’t listen, that’s when you go to newspapers/ city council/ county until something is big is done.

If a stupid kid is insulting a mother, say “Do you even know what it’s like to be a parent? Maybe when you grow up you’ll understand,” No body is pathetic enough to insult me, because I’m graduating as a valedictorian and the majority of teens with half the responsibility of mine are nowhere near my level.

The other comments on here are ridiculous. Why aren’t women who decide to conceive after 35 not hated? They put their children in risk of down syndrome and other birth defects. Those children are EXPENSIVE to the government, but no one frowns at them now do they?

When I’m at the store and someone says “Oh your sister is so cute” and I say “she’s not my sister she’s my daughter” and they frown, I just laugh and walk away, because in the end, I’m better than those ridiculous prejudice people. I have not costed the government a penny, I’m responsible and get straight A’s. My daughter is ahead of her milestones and like I said, age has nothing to do with anything.

Please do something about it, because not only is their education at risk, but so is the children’s futures.
Thanks for trying to make some peace for once, most of the answers on here are just promoting hate. Not cool.
