Question by Jazz šŸ˜€: What are the physical complications to teen mothers?
How does having a baby young effect the body of a teenage mother during or after delivery?
Also, how do the babies of teen mothers suffer physical? Are they more likely to get a disease or something than babies born to older mothers?

I don’t really think it’s different than an older woman to have a baby. I’m not a teen mom, so I wouldn’t know. But why would they be most likely to get a disease? That doesn’t make sense, because all of them are girls. All of them would treat the baby just like any other mother would. Physical? No. Because they are humans too. It’s not like they are aliens. Pregnancy is probably the same for everyone.

Less readily accepted is what the Bible says on sexual matters. Contrary to what many have been led to believe, the Bible does not prudishly condemn as sinful all sexual desire. But it does provide sound advice on how human sexuality should be expressed. The Bible teaches that sexual relations are reserved for a man and a woman who are married to each other. (Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:4-6; Hebrews 13:4) Sex provides a way for marriage mates to express and receive love and tender affection. (1Ā Corinthians 7:1-5) Any children born of such a union benefit from having two parents who care for each other.ā€”Colossians 3:18-21.
Regarding sexual promiscuity, the Bible commands: ā€œFlee from fornication.ā€ (1Ā Corinthians 6:18) What is one reason for this? The verse continues: ā€œEvery other sin that a man may commit is outside his body, but he that practices fornication is sinning against his own body.ā€ What results when the Bibleā€™s advice regarding sexual matters is ignored?
Consider what is happening in the United States. That country now has the highest rate of teenage pregnancy in the industrialized worldā€”some 850,000 each year. Many of the babies who escape being aborted are born to unwed mothers. No doubt, a number of these young mothers do their best to raise their children with love and discipline, and some succeed. However, the cold facts are that the sons of teen mothers are more likely to end up in prison and that the daughters are more likely to become teen mothers themselves. After reviewing statistics of the past several decades, researcher Robert Lerman wrote: ā€œThe shift toward single-parent families may have contributed to a higher incidence of other social problems, such as higher rates of school dropouts, of alcohol and drug use, of adolescent pregnancy and childbearing, and of juvenile delinquency.ā€
Those who are sexually promiscuous also face major health risks, both physical and mental. For example, the journal Pediatrics reports: ā€œData suggest that sexually active adolescents are at high risk for depression and suicide.ā€ Regarding other health dangers, the American Social Health Association states: ā€œMore than half of all people [in the United States] will have an STD [sexually transmitted disease] at some point in their lifetime.ā€ Think of the heartache and suffering that could be avoided if the Bibleā€™s practical counsel regarding sex were followed!

I was pregnant wtih my first child at 17 years old. I had no physical complications related to my pregnancy whatsoever. Also, the only problem that my son had while he was an infant was that his umbilical cord didn’t fall off for almost 7 weeks. He was never even sick until he was 15 months old. I won’t say that I know for sure, but I’ve never heard that a child born to a teen mother is more susceptible to diseases. If you’re asking these questions for a research paper or if it’s something for school, do some research on the internet and get some facts. If you’re asking because you’re a pregnant teen and worried about yourself and your child, speak with your doctor, and also do some research of your own, but I’m farily sure you’ll be just fine.
