I’m doing a self picked school project on how mtv decided to become fake and obsessed with pregnant teens and std filled jersey people.

It’s simple, back then, GOOD MUSIC stuffed the radio and MTV!!
Back then, MTV was just music video after music video after music video…
this was a way people found new music or how they watched music videos back then, remember, YouTube didnt exist yet.
Now, they became obsessed with drunks, dumb blonds, and stupid pregnant girls that don’t know how to control themselves for the purpose of MONEY!!!
Internet has music videos now, and people watch them through there. Because the internet is accessable by practically anyone civilized these days, everyone watches them on there. And MTV was like “OMG WE GOTTA DO SOMETHING QUICK BEFORE PEOPLE FORGET ABOUT US!! I KNOW LETS START SHOWING AVERAGE TV SHOWS HERE!! YA GOOD IDEA!! YA IF WE DON’T DO THIS WERE F*CKED BECAUSE WE WONT MAKE ANYMORE MONEY!!
And that’s how that started.
