Carbuncle Passage 26 April #9
Our delightful Saturday stroll finishes near the eastern end of Carbuncle Passage where the alley crosses Shelbourne Road.
A thoughtful person has abandoned a chair. So rest a few moments to meditate on life and waste. And perhaps on a deeper question which echoes a Zen kōan:
when is fly-tipping not really fly-tipping?
International expert Prof. Chuck Poubelle made a semiotic examination of this photo using the standard White-Vandross classifications. He detected no fly-tipping; and classified the objects as follows.
● Plastic containers, wood, chipboard: building supplies
● Metal work-top: scrap metal recycling
● Chair: outdoor Leisure Services provision
● Mirror : beauty industry equipment
