Why did MTV stop having music and music videos?

Question by : Why did MTV stop having music and music videos?
All I can find now is reality tv like 16 and Pregnant, Teen Mom or Jersey Shore. I remember back in Middle School I would love to watch the music videos before catching the bus.

theres a different channel for that called Mtv Hits

They did this to boost ratings and make more money. A lot of people were turned off by “MTV’s Music” and prefer drama like Teen Mom or Jersey shore. So MTV made more reality shows and moved Music to shows that come on after dark. Like MTV after hours and even Sucker Free was moved to MTV 2
