Question by basketballgirl2: I am going to 8th grade and I want to know some beauty tips?
Ok this coming school year im going to 8th grade. I was wondering about makeup and hairstyles. I can’t do anything with my clothes because my county has uniform. I don’t want to be known as one of the ugliest girls at the school.

All I need is Beauty Tips and hairstyles that I can do. Please give me anything that will make me pretty to guys at school.

Any casual makeup will do. When I was in eight grade I barley wore any makeup, just some mascara and a little eyeliner on my top lids.
Oh and if a guy is good enough for you, he would look at who you are on the inside not the outside.

tinted moisturizer,blush,lip gloss,clear mascara. For your hair I suggest long layers,or you can even ask your stylist what haircut/style can work for your face shape.

If you have straight hair, leave it straight, just put a little bump in the front, or put in a cute headband.
If you have curly or wavy hair, you should scrunch it .
If your school allows you to wear jewelry, you should wear one necklace, and for bracelets, a colorful bangle on each wrist is always cute.
Good luck Girly! I have uniforms this year too….. I’m gonna be a freshman… You just gotta find some little ways to make the dress code look cute without breaking it. (:

As for the beauty portion:
Imperfections- Cover them with concealer if you want/need to. If you don’t want to use concealeror if you just get breakouts every now and then, you can put ice over pimples. It helps with the swelling and redness.
Make-up- Stick to nautral eyeshadows. Tans, maybe light browns and a little bit of dark in the crease. Peach is also nice and not too obvious. For eyeliner ( if you want to use it) try white in the inner corners and maybe black in your waterline. When I did this, people didn’t even know I was wearing make-up. Mascara, just get a black one but make sure it wont clump. Chapstick forsure. Lipgloss if desired

*Boyfriends that I’ve had and even my guy friends tell me that they prefer natural looks on girls, if they choose to wear make-up at all. If you’re with your boyfriend and have a bunch of foundation on, they’re gonna feel the difference and they’ll be able to tell that you have make-up on. I know this from personal experience lol. They don’t like it when your face is all cakey and stuff.

Don’t know what to say for hairstyles because to me, that’s personal. It depends on what you want/like. Beauty tips:
-Keep your skin (face and body) moisturized. Make sure to at least put lotion on your elbows and knees.
-If you want softer hair leave your conditioner in for 5 minutes before washing it out.
-Eat lots of fruits and vegetables, drink lots of water. Its good for your skin and it’ll make you feel better. Try to stay away from sugars.
