Q&A: How does the weight-loss setting on a treadmill work?

Question by forsight: How does the weight-loss setting on a treadmill work?
At my local gym, they have treadmills with different programs that you can select (manual, interval, performance, heart rate, weight loss, etc). How exactly does the weight loss program work? Is the goal of that to keep the heart rate in a certain zone all the time? Or does it work differently? Thanks in advance.

No it doesn’t work. Try “uphill” or “gluteal” or just crank up the incline. I think the eliptical works better. Do the “gluteal” workout and crank up the resistance. I lost 25 pounds doing this.
