Starbright World: Social Network for Ill Teens
posted in Chat & Forums |
Starlight created this video to spotlight the newly remodeled Starbright World, an online social network exclusively for sick teens, ages 13-20, and their teenage siblings. Having a serious or life-threatening medical condition can make it even harder to cope with already-difficult realities of being a teenager. Supporting a brother or sister who has an illness can be daunting as well. On Starbright World, sick teens are able to connect with each other via moderated chat; document their stories and journal their thoughts and experiences in a new and robust personal profile section called My Life, and have fun participating in contests and playing games. Additionally, teens can produce and post videos about their disease, their life or anything else that they feel is important and want to share in a post-your-own video section. Watch the video to learn more!
