What can a teen do around the house to help out during the summer?

Question by Karli: What can a teen do around the house to help out during the summer?
Looking for parents advice.
I’m a teen and I find a hard time getting myself motivated to help out around the house during the summer. I usually don’t find the time.
I do my laundry and clean up after myself, but that’s about it.
What are some chores I can take on to prove to my hard working parents that I appreciate them?

Doing dishes definately. I HATE dishes. Maybe cook a few meals.

Do the grocery shopping, good way to learn about budgeting. Ask any neighbours if they need a helping hand. Mow the lawn, walk the dog. do gardening.

Ask them if there is anything you can take to good will, or a “pon” shop! Any used clothing places as well as book/music/dvd stores!
You can also Ask if they want anything updated like a fence, painting or something like that!
They would def. appreciate it! You might even make a little money off it!!

Run the vacuum
Change the sheets
Unload/load the dishwasher
Sweep out the garage
Water the outside flowers
Clean the fridge (wipe down the shelves)
Mow the lawn

If you’re really good…
Wash the kitchen cabinets
Clean out a few cabinets
Wash windows
Cook dinner
Clean the bathroom
