I have a confession to make. (5 stars)
I have hated Blue October for years. Every time I would hear them on the radio, I'd quickly change the station in disgust. Every time someone would mention them, I would scoff, laugh a little and throw the conversation off the table. I'm going to go song-by-song for anyone who cares:

Breathe, It's Over
The attention taken to vocal detail in this song is truly amazing. The echo is perfect for the song. It's such an honest song, and leaves nothing to be desired lyrically. That said, the music seems a little shy. It seems to be missing something, at least to me, personally.

The Texas quintet Blue October formed during the post-grunge boom of the mid-'90s when vocalist/guitarist Justin Furstenfeld began penning angst-ridden rock songs with the help of his brother, drummer Jeremy Furstenfeld, and violinist Ryan Delahoussaye.
