"Now did you see me? I killed a man." (5 stars)
In that moment when the first beat hits on "You Took Your Time," you can tell that Mount Kimbie are on a totally different level than everyone else in the music game right now. "Cold Spring Fault Less Youth" is assuredly more easy to listen to than "Crooks and Lovers" but that doesn't lessen the listening experience. Not many bands can do that. I recommend listening to this album. A lot.

With familiar beats underneath otherworldly productions, Mount Kimbie are arguably responsible for the birth of the term "post-dubstep." Dominic Maker and Kai Campos formed Mount Kimbie while both were attending Southbank University in London. In early 2009 they released their debut EP, Maybes, via the Hotflush Recordings label.
