Fleetwood Mac: Greatest Hits – Fleetwood MacView More By Fleetwood Mac Our ReviewWhether or not you’re old enough to recall the influx of girls named Rhiannon during the late ‘70s and early ‘80s, it makes perfect sense for Fleetwood Mac’s Greatest Hits to open with their 1976 chart-topper by that name. The crux of this collection was culled from their 1975 self-titled album and 1977’s Rumours, as both records yielded the most hits while defining the band’s career. While not sequenced chronologically, the song order makes for a flowing album feel while highlighting how this band boasted a group of hit-makers. Nicks was the most popular member with her witchy-cool charisma, unmistakably raspy croon and undeniably awesome tunes like “Dreams” and “Gypsy,” but Christine McVie penned some stellar songs as evidenced by the gossamer “Everywhere” along with the romantically groovy “You Make Loving Fun” and the seductive “Tell Me Lies” from the underrated 1987 album Tango In The Night. And of course Lindsay Buckingham’s most memorable songs surface, such as the catchy strut of “Don’t Stop,” the anthemic “Go Your Own Way” and the weirdly brilliant title-track from 1979’s Tusk.Customer ReviewsAmazing Album (5 stars)This is a fantastic album, but where is Landslide? Clasic (5 stars) I'm 24 and this is one of my fav bands. Grew up listening to it in my parents car and now it plays in mine. Initially conceived as a hard-edged British blues combo in the late '60s, the band gradually evolved into a polished pop/rock act over the course of a decade. Throughout all of their incarnations, the only consistent members of Fleetwood Mac were drummer Mick Fleetwood and bassist John McVie — the rhythm section that provided the band with its...
