Yet another band, bought and sold by the big record industry. God forbid you have some screaming in your vocals anymore! Saweeet (5 stars) Just by listening to two songs from this album my hopes are very high for them to deliver again. Needless to say I'm very excited for this album. The intro to Strife is amazazing. High Hopes, but... (3 stars) I just streamed Vengeance Falls in its entirety tonight and I'm somewhat conflicted. On one hand many of the songs were enjoyable and, for the most part, memorable. I wanted to feel at the end of the record that I had just heard the best Trivium record to date, and to a certain extent I did. So why the feeling of being let down? I found most every song to be ridiculously predictable, with most of the songs having the same structure both inst BiographyFormed: 2000 in Orlando, FLGenre: Rock Years Active: '00s, '10s Hailing from central Florida, Trivium formed in 2000 and quickly built a buzz around Orlando's metal community with a blend of metalcore, thrash, and progressive metal flourish. Having secured a contract with the German imprint Lifeforce, the band issued its debut album, Ember to Inferno, in October 2003 with a lineup that included vocalist/guitarist Matt Heafy, drummer Travis Smith, and bassist Brent Young.
