 Post subject: How do you restore information on a jump drive?

I pulled my jump drive out of my laptop without ejecting it properly, now it shows up unrecognized device when i plug it into my pc and I cant access anything. How do I get my information back if that's possible?

It is not possible. Next time follower proper instruction when removing equipment.

Well, it is possible- but the programs are highly expensive.

I do that all the time
but i have never lost data
im assuming a jump is a usb drive right?
why do u call it a jump drive, does it jump?

u cant get it back but if ur pc cant read it
try formatting it,

First there are data recovery programs and some are a little expensive, but there are some free ones around now that work very well.
Just in case try it in another computer but don't think you will have any luck.
to run data recovery programs the drive has to be recognised but the system so a format will probably be required.
After that then run the program i am going to suggest but recover the data to another output device ie your hard drive,because you do not want to over write the data you are trying to recover.
