Short of totally removing all Yahoo software from my computer, how do I prevent it from starting up when I power up my computer. I've tried everything but, evidently not all .

start run type: msconfig press enter startup untick Yahoo

At the top left of your messenger click on MESSENGER go down click on PREFERENCES then click on GENERAL if it dont automatically come up then UNCHECK the Automatically start yahoo messenger box then click APPLY at the bottom left corner that should fix your problem GOOD LUCK
