So I had C4D R9 for a few years now, I've used it on this computer plenty of times with no problems. I stopped using it for a few months and recently tried to run it again. It wouldn't even start, I got an error message from vista saying "Cinema 4D has stopped working" before it even opened or anything.
So today I re-downloaded, even got R10.5 this time, just incase it was a compatibility issue that suddenly came up. So I install and try to run it. This time instead of giving me the "stopped working" error, it simply did nothing besides add a bug report to its bug report folder. Please help me out here, anything you can think of that might be causing this! And If you think it may be my drivers, please tell me where to get updates from because I really don't want to install some bogus update that breaks it more >_<
Also I should mention that I "run as admin" and when it gives me the bug report the C4D process continues to run on task manager, but only uses about 60,000 K
Here's the bug report:

Hmm well I guess I'll just use Blender instead :p
Problem solved :)
I uninstalled quicktime (don't use it anyway) and the program started right up with no problems! Thanks so much!!

Looks to me like it's butting heads with QuickTime. This is especially likely if you have recently updated iTunes / QuickTime.

Uninstall QuickTime, restart, reinstall the latest version of QuickTime, restart, try again. If it keeps happening, roll back to an earlier version of QuickTime.
