The amount of RAM you have is fine. And the GPU shouldn't strain too much.
However, i'm worried that your processor, which i'm assuming given the model will only run at 2.3 Ghz may not be enough to run the game.
If you're willing to take the chance, and willing to run the game on low settings/resolution, then get the game on pc.
But given that the game will have spectacular in game graphics and effects, one would want to run everything the best one could. So, if you have the option, it may be safer to get the game on your PS3.
