My friend Isabella's plot idea:
Alyssa is a shy, lonely teen entering her senior year at Kendall High School. Her mother is pressuring her to follow in the family footsteps become an actress, but Alyssa finds it hard to overcome her reserved nature and is more interested in a career in music (something she is particularly talented in). Her beautiful, alcoholic, drug-using, party-scene best friend Brianna is not helpful at all, and is always trying to convince her to change her ways. Another who is not helpful is Alyssa?s long-term boyfriend Ethan, who she feels she is drifting apart from. Enter Matthew Parker, an English exchange student with great musical talent. Matthew immediately falls for Alyssa, and makes it his sole mission to help her become a musician. They become best friends, but after Alyssa rejects him at a party where they are both drunk, Matthew turns to Brianna for a relationship. Even so, Alyssa strives to revive the love she and Matthew have when she realises she is in love with him, but she soon learns that if something is worth having, then she must fight for it ...
That's all she gave me. I personally think it's pretty good, but I'm probably biased since she's my friend. What do you think of it?
