I want to put windows 7 on my laptop which currently has xp. I did one of those scan things to see if I can run it on my laptop and one of the errors was that my graphics card doesnt support aero or something like that. And since im on a laptop i dont think i can upgrade it, so what would windows 7 looks like without the aero? like do you still get that cool bar at the bottoms with the peeking and stuff? screen shots or video would really help thanks |

Without Aero, you don't get any of that cool graphic stuff. It will look basic with no transparency, peek or preview. So, install at your own risk. |

I was using Win Vista and Win 7 without aero effects and all that 'nice looking stuff' and to be honest it hadn't helped a lot (when we are talking about RAM and processor). Without aero and all the effects those systems looks like Windows 98 - all gray and simple. |

The "peeking stuff" won't work without Aero. If you like the XP style, then you can disable Aero by changing your skin to Luna or something similar. However, I don't know what will happen before you change it... Content provided by Yahoo Answers. |
