my halo 3 disc is scratched and wont play. is there anyway i can borrow a friends halo 3, install it to my hard drive, and then use my disc just to verify it and play off the hard drive? any help would be great, if you had the same problem or know someone, or even a link about it would be good thanks secoran your an idiot, beacause if you had an xbox you would know one of the new features is being able to play off your HDD with the disk in the try for faster load times. also does the banana thing really work? what made you look at a banana and think that it would get a scratch out |

Happened to me, go to your local DVD rental store and ask them to use their pro disc cleaning machine... It'll cost you tops $10, worth it, |

the only way to do that is to modd your xbox and microsoft looks for any modded system when u go online. i would suggest just getting the disc fixed. Many places like blockbuster will clean your disc to get rid of the scratch. it will be easies then modding your xbox |

That happened to me as well, what you can do (for free), you peel a banana, get the banana skin and you rub it on the disc, then you get window cleaner then spray it on the disc and then rub it off. This method actually worked for me. |

Best way for fixes like that find a rental store with a newish copy the switch em. But you can always buy the game at the store... Might be in a local bargin bin for 10$ |

My cousin's Call of Duty 4 disc wouldn't read a map (Wet Work if you care), so he used another disc to install to his hard drive. He can play Wet Work now off the old disc. I don't know about scratches though. |
