k well i wanna install xp pro on my comp cuz vista and windows 7 slow down the comp like a lot and i try turning on the comp with the cd in it so it will start up with the cd n it just wont let me install it and yea i already tried everything else.....i just wanna know if it would be safe to format the hard drive and then put in the xp cd in and if it will start up like that and just install it?? |

open Bios by pressign DEL on startup. find boot sequance, and change to CD/DVD rom drive as first bood device, and Hard drive as second put in the XP cd and save and exit from the bios. press the indicated key to boot from the disc. once loaded, format the hard drive, and install XP. |
