Strange. Sounds like your computer doesn't recognize your CD burner. First thing I would try is disconnecting and reconnecting your CD burner and then firing it up. Your computer should recognize it as "New Hardware Added" and set it up for you. If that doesn't work, it's possible that the drivers for your burner are missing or were not properly installed. Your PC should have come with several additional CD-ROMs, and one of them should have the drivers on it. To fix the problem, click on "Start," then "Settings," then "Control Panel," then "Add New Hardware." Find your CD burner and click on that. You should get an error icon (the yellow triangle with the exclamation point in it) if there's a set-up or driver problem with your CD burner.
