Hi,
I know it is possible to split your hard drive and install Windows 7 on it, but I don't want to jam too much things into the hard drive so the files are more accessible. But I still want to be able to use windows as it is better with the variety of programs and what not. So here:

Is it possible to install Windows 7 on a portable Hard Drive and use it through a MAC?

I'm not exactly sure what you're trying to do, but have a look at some software from http://www.parallels.com/ See if they have something which fits your needs.

You can dual boot 7 but you'll need boot camp to do it. Or you can use parallels and install 7 as a virtual system. Neither way is "plug and play", though - you're in for a lot of "figuring it out" or searching the web for advice from people who have done it.

It sure is. Go to http://wudt.codeplex.com/ and download the Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool and copy the .iso to a USB or DVD (as the name suggests) and boot that into Apple's Bootcamp utility. While Apple says that Windows 7 is not technically supported until the next update comes along, several people have already gotten it to work and it's all been detailed here:
