So here’s where I’m at. I have a silver necklace I love. 20 inches and 2mm. I really want a gold rope necklace! I found one that is 10k gold, 22 inches (I want a longer length), 2mm, and weighs in at 9.3 grams. I can get it for $300.

Is this a good deal? I know based on gold prices today the value of the gold itself is $232 so I’m only paying $70 over spot price. Really seems like a good situation to me. But I’ve never owned gold jewelry and many people online really bash on 10k gold.

So Reddit, is this a good purchase?

TDLR: 10k, 22inch, 2mm, rope chain, 9.3 grams for $300. Good deal or not?
