How to convert MXF to MPEG-4/AVI/QuickTime/FCP/iMovie

Material eXchange Format (MXF) is a container format for professional digital video and audio media defined by a set of SMPTE standards. MXF is a self-container format which is unacceptable to many editing software and devices. If you want to enjoy MXF videos shot by some Canon/ Sony/ Panasonic camcorders on your handheld devices, you need to transfer the format first. To do this, you will need a converter, and the best MXF converter is Aunsoft MXF Converter for Mac. Here are some steps using TransMXF for Mac to convert MXF to MPEG-4 on Mac.

Step 1: Download MXF to MP4 Converter for Mac, install and run it. Add MXF videos for Mac. You can preview the videos before transferring.

Step 2: Choose output format and output route for the videos. Click “format” and choose the format you need from the list as below picture shows. You can do some personal setting with clicking “setting”.

Step 3: Start conversion. If you want to merge several videos into one, just click “merge into one file” before conversion.

After a short time waiting, you will get the videos in MPEG-4 format. You can also do some basic editing with the videos with TransMXF for Mac. Except MPEG-4, TransMXF can Transfer/convert MXF Files/videos to Final Cut Pro 6/7and convert to many other formats, such as MPEG, WMV, AVI, FLV, MOV, 3GP, 3G2, SWF, VOB, TS, DV, F4V, etc. Aunsoft TransMXF is a great converter forconverting MXF to AVI and other formats.
