iMovie is a part of the iLife suite of software products that comes free with every Mac. It used editing mac users' video that from their devices, such as flip, camera, camcoder, etc. The iMovie supports MPEG2, DV, HDV, QuickTime Movie and MPEG4, but it can't accept .avi files, so we can't import avi to iMovie.
