Post subject: How to choose an economical and efficient ice machine?
PostPosted: Mon Sep 30, 2019 2:32 pm
Today, manufacturers of ice machines take economical water and electricity consumption to a new level by improving four components: design, components, production cycle and controls.
The last time we touched on the topic of ice makers in 2003, then ice makers were just starting their way to efficiency and productivity, and manufacturers have since then been regularly offering increasingly advanced models.
Only a few years have passed, and the same manufacturers are already on the crest of the wave, they are releasing more and more cars with which you can be as cold-blooded as Chile Palmer in the same room with a bunch of Hollywood producers, even when you look at your bills for utilities.
Using a successful combination of design, technology, advanced components, and in some cases even a completely new approach, manufacturers have made ice machines more rational in the consumption of water and electricity. In addition, the machines have become more reliable and easier to maintain.

More productive components are made for more efficient machines. Manufacturers of compressors and fan motors experience the same pressure from the federal authorities, they are also obliged to produce components with the lowest possible energy consumption. Equipment manufacturers, and ultimately you, only benefit from this.
Ice makers are also trying to match compressors to their evaporators as best as possible, along with valves and cooling lines. Roughly the same thing happened with refrigerators when their quality standards became more stringent. Fine tuning the equipment will save a lot of money.
Improved fan wing design plays a role in increasing efficiency. Thanks to this design, the fans are quieter. Some manufacturers now also use compressors and fans, which are much quieter.
Some manufacturers are trying to reduce the number of components used by making unified components of the lineup. One manufacturer, for example, uses just two different types of water pumps for all the machines in its new line. Reducing the number of unique components in the line increases their operational reliability and facilitates the search for the necessary components.
