I'm doing a civics project and don't know how to read my stocks. Here is the link to my historical stocks

http://finance.yahoo.com/q/hp?s=BA&a=04&b=3&c=2010&d=04&e=24&f=2010&g=d

I don't know how to read it. Which is the last trade price? Thanks a lot!

The "Close" price is the last trade price for the day. Looks like Boeing closed down today at $63.15.

Good luck on your project.

I believe the last trade price for the day is the close price. When you purchase the stock every month on a dollar cost average program the transaction usually takes place after the stock market is closed. So look at the column that says (close price) then you would know.

The .42 cents per share you see on May 5, 2010 was paid on that day based on the # of shares you have on a particular day a month earlier.

Here is the Last Trade price - useful information during the day when the markets are open.
http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=ba

When the market closes at 4:00 pm EST, the Last Trade becomes the Closing Price; same thing after the close. The Last Trade is simply the last price the stock traded at during trading hours, and it changes constantly throughout the day.

Here's a good reference for financial terms and definitions
