I'm wondering as a hairstylist, how would you advertise your business outside of personal referrals? Do you pay for advertising at all? Do you list your services in the phone book? On other directories? Do you do SEO? Any and all feedback is appreciated! |

I am a stylist, and I put out flyer's, put pic and services that I offer in the local paper, I made a myspace and put a portfolio of the haircuts that I have done. I put deals in the news paper to bring new pple in. Like 10.00 haircuts if you are a new client, or If you purchase a shampoo cut and style I will give you a free eye wax.There are a bunch of things you can do. |

I have done some work for businesses in a similar line of work. Seriously, do some LOCAL SEO for your site and it should pay off handsomely. I've actually just put up a short piece on my site detailing a few free SEO techniques small businesses can use. My site's at http://www.ontarioseo.ca - have a look at the blog section and the first article will give you some good pointers. The rest of the site may give you a few good ideas as well.
