It's a continuous process.
Rainbow Six Siege Items is no silver bullet that's ever going to just fix toxicity in online gambling, and it is one of those things where we have been working on and will continue work on. We've got added features coming with Operation Grim Sky who are going to make it better, but it's a long-term endeavor and it's something that we're devoted to continue to work and improve for years to come.
The response from our gamers was a small mixed. We as a dev group and Ubisoft as a whole take a very firm stance when it comes to harassment and toxicity, thus we feel quite strongly that racial and homophobic slurs do not belong in Rainbow Six Siege. We are completely ok with gamers which disagree with usthat's entirely their right, but we're not going to shy away from what we believe is right and our vision for Rainbow Six.
We don't automatically permanently prohibit anyone for toxicity and some other permanent bans for which are done through manual review. We do have people who undergo and review players that get numerous bans for this and see what's happening and if it's deserving of a permanent ban.
We've got other things like a chat filter that we have mentioned in preceding toxicity communications that we're working on. A conversation filter supersedes an auto-ban because if a message is not sent then there's no need to ban someone for it. We have more term things that we're working towards that may potentially make the auto-ban for toxicity attribute obsolete. We don't know yet but we will see how that develops.
Anti-cheat, much like toxicity, is an evolving process
articles of game we're going to continue working on. It is not the only thing we are working on: along with the two-step verification requirement for ranked, we're working on things like getting back any MMR missing when you perform against a cheater, and we're also increasing our penetration testing efforts internally.
