It isnt my internet service (most likely isn't the problem. i have windstream. is that bad?) hasn't really affected the problem. its just the security settings that are so high (im guessing) that my firewall wont allow any interactive chat, rpg, or any other worldwide thing like combat arms for instance where you move around and talk with people playing on their computers across the globe. Help, and suggestions?

First of all is your firewall a separate device from your router?

It sounds to me like you might have to setup port forwarding on your router to the sites/game servers in question. Refer to the manual for your device for details.
