From teens to twenties, do acne scars disappear?



I heard that if you leave pimples untreated, they can get worse...

Is this the same for acne scars?

Acne scars are different from pimples.
Acne scars would fade sooner than later. Apply fresh lemon juice and leave it 3-4 hours and then wash it with cold water.
Or apply a lotion or a gel your dermatologist would recommended, don't over do it though.

Pimples with whiteheads, fully riped and which hurt should be drained or lanced by a dermatologist.
Small pimples usually when left alone and not irritated dry up anyway but big pimples should be drained else they form red dot and becomes a cyst and takes a while to heal since it contains pus and all other impurities.
These red dots almost take years to go at times. I think doctors recommend microdermabrasion in such cases but they sometimes dont tell you about the caveat that comes along with it, which is small or major breakout depending on how the MD was performed, besides you have to take care not to step out in sun and not to take hot or extremely cold showers, usually cool showers are recommended.

Treat acne under supervision of reputed skin specialist if it's getting uncontrollable and feels like spreading even by obeserving healthy diet and lifestyle.

To fade an acne scar will be easy. All you've got to do is exfoliate regularly.

Exfoliation is simply the removal of the top layer of skin (called the epidermis).

This layer can be removed by using Glycolic Acids and or Salicylic Acids (chemical peels). Or mechanically (microdermabrasion)

By regularly removing the epidermis...you'll also be removing the skin that is scarred by your acne.

To remove the scar quickly...

...I recommend visiting a doctor and inquiring about a deep facial peel.

A deep peel removes the epidermis at a greater depth. And as a result the scar will disappear in no time.

But... I must warn you that deep peels are expensive.

You can also remove the scars with at-home facial peels. These products usually contain alpha-hydroxy acids and/or beta hydroxy acids.

Or you can buy a facial scrub. This is a cream which contains tiny particles to scrub away the epidermis.

These at home versions are effective and less costly.

But...

...they work slower than the doctor's versions. And you must use them at least 3 times a week if they are to be effective.

The extra virgin coconut oil did it for me! Sometimes they go away but other times they don't. They won't get any worse if left untreated, there is a certain limit they can go, when it comes to scarring so don't worry about it.
