Aloha! A tinted moisturizer will not cover up any redness. Most likely a moisturizer, even if it is tinted, is translucent so it wont cover up any unwanted tones.
You want to get something with a green tint, because it will cancel out any red. Obviously you cant buy a green foundation so they make products such as concealers, or a makeup primer, which is what I use, and recommend. The first one, and my favorite is from a brand called Makeup Forever, which is sold at Sephora. : http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P217906
The second, also at sephora is by Smashbox. :http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P9889
I'm sure if you keep looking you can find some cheaper.
Something I do that really helps my skin is apply Vitamin E directly from the capsule onto my face at night, then apply my regular cream. It is sticky, and it stinks but it has worked miracles on my skin. Also if you take them by mouth they are very beneficial for the skin, and circulation which might help with the redness internally. Good Luck! x o x o
