so Pans Labryinth did not (*cough*... sorry) pan out. Bastards were sold
out! You shouldve seen the line. It was impressive. Ah well, another
night. When more people can go, hopefully.
So. Im kind of frustrated with the applying to grad school stuff, as far
as finding references and writing the essays. I am going to start the
essays soon, but Im annoyed because Ive emailed some people that would be
references for me and they have not replied. I am not sure what to do at
this point, should I wait a little bit and call them or should I just assume
they are not interested? I will feel awkward calling them if theyre trying
to ignore me but I may just have to do that. Maybe. I am pretty sure they
got the emails too. I do know that I have until the end of the year too but
it still makes me annoyed. I just want to get moving on this stuff.
I just got a message from a friend I barely speak to telling me to stop
being sad. Its not like I want to be sad, or force myself to be...I just am.
She said that [being sad] just makes life harder, trust me, I know.
Its getting boring. I know I know, it would be better without work but
looks like it can also be a lot better with the fun. The problem is - were
probably the most sterile country in the world and cant get to have fun as
far as it goes. So you know what I reckon? I dare EVERYONE to go and say yes
to something they would normally say no to (but not encouraging social
deviants here e.g. criminals, druggies, the village bicycle!) ...and just
see what happens.
I arrived at s place last night, and we went out for a nice meal. I had an
early start this morning and am now at Manchester Airport (boarding in about
20 min) so next time I log on I should be at Philadelphia Airport (where
there is FREE wireless access apparently).
So J and I went to Bekley tonight for our passport. It was hella fun. We
took BART but ended up in Fremont and then had to take it back up to
transfer and then take that train up to downtown Berkley. We got to Royal
Grounds around 7:30ish and just totally chilled, there wasnt as many people
there as I expected there to be and everyone left real early. J and I were
the only ones to stay til 10. Then at ten they were closing so we left and
went into Pegasus books for a bit to look around then headed back to BART
where we spent an eternity getting home cause we ended up in Fremont again
cause were too distracted to pay attention to when we have to transfer. We
had some good conversation entirely in sign.
there were only four of us and Ivan tonight at Choir practice. tonight was
one of those magical jam session type of nights where we all pick up each
others cues we can each see where we are going we all hold down our parts
alone and our voices are each distinct but one sound in harmony. we gave
depth to songs we knew, went out on limbs that worked out sounding great on
songs we didnt we took musical chances and made something fantastic. hot
toddies and wonderful, viva mi Choiristas.
Working (temping) has thus far been satisfactory in both monetary and
time-killing capacities. After three weeks, I still havent managed to
escape the loud, rosaceaacne-afflicted weirdo in the cubicle behind mine who
constantly sounds as if hes trying to take a huge dump. Coming up with a
little white lie about a loving boyfriend in polite conversation is just not
happening, and I cant bring myself to be rude. Ah, well. If its not
weirdoes, its homeless guys. Goddammit.
A few days ago, So in the end, I decided simply to share my thoughts in
their rough and unpolished form, and let you all take them as you will.
With the holidays coming, heres a fruitcake recipe that will help take
now its probably been about six months since i have updated. and sadly, i
havent been up to too much. Uni finnished for the year without too much
drama, Benji did the rest of year 12. we both got our results, and
everything went well, i got 2HDs and 2Ds for second semester, and Benji
