I had a container of apple cider vinegar in my purse (I had taken some ingredients for a natural cold remedy to the office), which spilled all over my purse. In fact, I am still sick and I can't smell it at all, but everyone else can. :( Anyway, do you have any tips for cleaning my purse? It's made of synthetic material (no leather, etc.). Also, it's a rather large purse.

I would honestly think that once it's completely dry, the smell will be gone.

I take apple cider vinegar too and oh man does it ever smell bad. The smell dies down quite a bit after it drys. Wait a few days then get some sort of flower scented or cotton scented spray to get rid of any last bad smells.

Try putting some dryer sheets in it over night, it will probably help pull the smell out of your purse.

Good luck!

Baking soda and cornstarch are natural ways to get rid of odours. I would wash it out again with a mixture of water, laundry detergent, and baking soda. You may want to then sprinkle it with baking soda and let it sit for a while, then rinse and dry once more.

Depending on the material I use carpet cleaner to clean purse and shoes too.

Wipe it out with a sponge and warm water. then dry it (paper towels work good) and leave it empty and wide open overnight.

Rinse it out and hang in the sun to dry for the day. That should get it right out.
