Linda Adams, from Barnstaple, north Devon took out a full page newspaper advert titled "Who wants to date my daughter?" in a desperate attempt to find her daughter a partner to “celebrate Christmas with after spending the past few single." Linda’s daughter, Sabina, says she will go along with her mothers plans saying all that she was looking for was someone with a good personality who is also good with children adding that good looks were not the main requirement. Richard Best the newspaper editor who published the advert said about Linda’s plan: "It seemed like a genuine request: a nice, light-hearted, fun story which might have a happy outcome."
