Ford Motor Co. CEO, Bill Ford Jr, has vowed the company will be making a major push towards hybrid technology, saying they wish to boost hybrid production so that 250,000 hybrids are being produced per year by 2010. Ford also announced that more than half of Ford, Mercury and Lincoln models will also be available as hybrids by the same dates. Ford also launched a carbon offset programme, where it is paying for projects that reduce dioxide emissions. Source: http://www.canadiandriver.com
